Our Camp Hosts

Todd Panter

I was born in Alabama and have lived in and around Madison County since I was five years old. Most of my relatives are located around the Walker County area...or at least they used to be. I retired from the Huntsville Fire Department May 1st 2013 after twenty five years of service. It was a great career but for several years now God had been calling *us* into full-time ministry. We were commissioned by the North American Mission Board in 2010 as "Church Strengtheners". Three years prior God had led us to form a ministry called "Restoring The Church Ministries" , name changed to “Church Strengtheners”, where our primary directive is to help pastors in small churches. I enjoy spending time with my kids and five grandkids, college football, fishing, gardening, and spending time with pastors. My mentors are Adrian Rogers, John Maxwell, Zig Ziglar, Leon Kilbreath and Noel Wright.

Denise Panter

I'm a native to Maryland, but Alabama has been home, sweet home, for twenty-six years now. Like Todd, I came to a saving knowledge of Jesus in my early twenties. I've got a variety of job experiences -- from service in the U.S. Navy to an assortment of jobs in the private sector; well-rounded (or jack of all trades), some might say! I currently work as a Ministry Assistant for the Madison Baptist Association. I grew up camping with my family and with the Girl Scouts. It's a pastime Todd and I have enjoyed sharing with our children and our grandchildren, too. God's creation teaches us so much about Him! Quilting, crafting, reading and cooking/baking are some of my favorite hobbies. I also enjoy serving in women's ministry and mentoring young women.
